Kamala Harris said that public service workers “do the most noble and selfless work that anyone can do.” She understands the importance of collective bargaining and the freedom to organize. More than that, she has taken steps to protect these freedoms. She was the chair of the White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment. In that role, Harris led efforts to reinvest in working people and combat anti-union retaliation. She is a supporter of the Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act and the Protecting the Right to Organize Act.
